Daly City, California – Altamont Pro Truck Series
points’ leader Greg Leonard, driver of the #3
Hennessey Racing Pro Truck is within grasp of
claiming his first series championship at Altamont
Motorsports Park in Tracy, California. Greg and
the Leonard Motorsports team have been able to
stay on top all year by running consistently with
lots of hard
work.
Claiming a career season high 6 wins, 7 poles, and
10 top five finishes in 10 races, places Greg
Leonard in a position that guarantees a
championship trophy for the team by simply taking
the green flag in their final race on October 9th
2004.
Peter Hennessey of Hennessey Racing hired Greg
Leonard to drive and maintain the truck for the
2004 season. This paid off in big ways for
Hennessey Racing. Starting the year by setting
fast time and winning the main event in the season
opener, along with continued dedication and hard
work from the team will ultimately be rewarded
with a well deserved championship.
