Daly City,
California – Leonard Motorsports and driver Greg
Leonard have already put the pedal to the metal in
their post season schedule of events. They started
off on the high banks of Stockton 99 Speedway for
the Tri-Holiday Classic which starts 22 cars on
the tight ¼ mile oval. The team’s goal was to make
the main based off qualifying time and finish
the race in one piece which can be quite difficult
at this particular track, especially for a
driver’s first visit. Both goals were achieved as
Greg qualified fast enough to go straight to the
main and came across the line in 12th place when
the race came to an end.
Greg’s next venture
was Irwindale Speedway. To get ready for this
weekend’s AutoClub Late Model 100, the team went
to a regular points race on September 14th. They
missed the setup, and didn’t run as well as they
were hoping, and ended up in 14th place. But the
Team 32 Late Model should be back up to speed this
weekend with a setup Greg is more confident with.
This Saturday’s race is the first leg in the two
race series for the California State Late Model
Championship, the final segment will be at Mesa
Marin Raceway on October 18th. Team 32 will also
be competing in that event, but first will make a
stop at Altamont Raceway on October 4th for the
Mark Hutto Memorial 100.
The team would
like to thank all of its sponsors for making the
year possible; Audiological Services of San
Francisco, ARAMARK Uniform Services, Trap's Tire &
Auto Center, MUD-Racing.net, CafePress.com, The
