Greg
Leonard drove the #3 Chevrolet Silverado
Pro Truck, owned by Peter Hennessey of
HennesseyRacing, to the 2004 Pro-Truck
Division Championship at the Altamont
Motorsports Park in Tracy, CA.
Born in San Francisco, Greg grew up in
Daly City's Westlake district and now
resides in Sunnyvale, CA, with his wife
Lindsay and two sons. He graduated from
Burlingame High on the Peninsula where
he excelled at tail-back position on the
varsity football squad. Injured in his
senior year, he began paying more
attention to his drag-racing hobby once
again, despite coaches' and recruiters'
advice to concentrate on
training/preparation for
collegiate-level football. But auto
racing has been his real motivation
since childhood, even though he had
participated in several sports
throughout his early years. After high
school, and while drawing pay as a
mechanic to help fund racing equipment,
he started building cars. He became a
top race-car fabricator while also
competing in several drag- racing
events, such as the "Fastest Street Car
Shootouts", driving a '69 Camaro most of
the time. Drag racing then evolved
into circle-track competition, as a
builder and driver.
Greg owns and runs LMS, a
metal-fabrication business in So. San
Francisco, CA, which has been in
operation and serving the Bay Area since
2000. His fully-equipped facility also
houses race-car Teams 3 & 32. Despite
the busy schedule that comes with
family, racing, and growing a company,
Greg has stayed busy in other
activities during that same period, such
as coaching the Hillside Panthers
4th-5th grade football teams for six
consecutive years.
Greg has compiled an impressive circle
short-track record in a relatively short
period of time. With the Truck
Championship, and numerous Wins, Poles,
and Top 5's & 10's under his belt in the
Trucks and other divisions, Greg
believes he now has the adequate
experience and ability to compete
formidably within NASCAR's higher
levels. Others strongly agree. |

Jalil Jaber is
the crew chief for Greg Leonard.
Together, this duo has had checkered
success. Jalil works hard to keep that
competitive edge and has always strived
for excellence. While handling all the
duties that come along with being the
crew chief he is also the spotter on
race day, making him a very busy crew
member. In addition to being
involved
with the team, he still finds time
to drag race, running his own Blown
Injected-Alcohol Outlaw ‘70 Chevelle
capable of running in the 8's at over
160 mph on a 10" tire. Jalil is also
the owner and founder of RDR Inc. (Real
Deal Racing, Inc.). With many
years of racing experience behind him,
he is a tremendous asset to this team.
Home Town:
Alameda, CA.
Experience:
In addition to his current 3-years
experience in chassis tuning of a
Sportsman Late-Model and 1-year of a Pro
Truck, Jalil has 10 years drag racing
experience, including building and
tuning engines. He was also a crew
member of an IMCA Dirt-Modified car for
2 years.
Hobbies:
Restoring award winning classic
Chevelles. "Making money, driving fast,
and spending time with my family, not in
any particular order." –

Alex
Henry holds the position of car
chief, a supporting roll to crew chief
Jalil. Primarily, he assists the team
in many areas as well as being the rear
tire changer on race day. Alex, who is
the newest crew member on this
team, possesses a strong desire to
succeed, a desire which was most
apparent in his successful battle with
Hodgkins Lymphoma Cancer at the age of
18. With chassis tuning being his
main interest, Alex brings
talent, charisma and a new “no-lose
attitude” to the team. All done with a
smile.

keeping the #32 and #3 Chevrolets in
winning
form. Steffen has always handled these
challenging responsibilities in addition
to being the shop foreman.

his valuable chassis tuning expertise when it
does not interfere with his own schedule of
running his NASCAR Touring SRL/SWS car;
